Replica Civil War Weapons for Reenactments
History comes to life in every reenactment of an American Civil War battle, not only through the authentic uniforms and surroundings but also with the replica weapons used by the reenactors. These guns have been faithfully crafted and reproduced for the reenactors of today by specialized companies.
Muskets and rifles are common in reenactments and rifles became the issue weapons used by both Confederate and Union soldiers during the war. A few of these important weapons are the 1860 Enfield Musketoon, the Enfield Three-Band Percussion rifle, the .58 caliber 1861 Springfield rifle, and the .69 caliber Harpers Ferry rifle.
Pistols and revolvers also played an important part in the war and are seen in any modern day Civil War reenactment. Two such pistols are the Army and Navy M1860 Revolver and the Navy Model 1851 revolver.
